Master Certificate on International Grant/Proposal Writing
January 14 @ 8:30 am - March 18 @ 10:30 pm
Learn to write international project grant proposals successfully. Use standard, globally recognized project grant proposal writing principles and processes to achieve optimum results. Stand out as a leader who can get project/grant proposals done on time and within budget. Gain a competitive edge in the job marketplace.
This hands-on course covers the complete process of grant proposal development: identification of an achievable and fundable project, research and assessment of viable funding sources, funder relations, proposal writing, budget development, preparation of a full proposal package for submission, and post-award or rejection follow-up with funders.
The course emphasizes grant and contract proposals to US Government Agencies (such as USAID, DOS, DOL, DOE, USDA), and private, community, and corporate foundations. Participants gain an understanding of the for-profit and nonprofit philanthropic and development environment. They become familiar with tools and resources available to assist them as they seek funds for their projects, institutions, or causes.
Who is this course for?
Anyone seeking the necessary skills and tools to work in a dynamic international project proposal writing environment, including:
- Development professionals currently writing project proposals who want to be more effective
- Anyone wanting to enter the international project proposal development and implementation agencies which prepares and submits project proposals
Participants will develop a specific project idea they build upon as the basis for their coursework and final grant proposal. This project or idea can be for a nonprofit or for-profit agency. Solid writing skills and experience or coursework in for-profit or nonprofit sector/management are recommended but optional.
