The  training on Data Governance: for finance sector professionals , scheduled for 7th November 2025, is a specialized, one-day, in-person program designed for officers and managers working in the banking and financial sector. This training is organized by the International Development Institute (IDI) with the to aims to build participants’ capabilities in managing, governing, and utilizing data strategically, responsibly, and in compliance with evolving regulations. As data becomes central to digital banking operations, understanding how to handle it effectively is critical for innovation, customer trust, and organizational success.

This comprehensive training focuses on five key pillars of data governance:

• Data access and security
• Data ownership
• Data understanding
• Data quality, and
• Responsible use of data, including emerging concerns like AI/ML governance

Participants will develop practical insights into how to design and implement effective data policies and governance frameworks, ensuring not only compliance but also value creation across business units.
